Today, I thought we’d plant some French Lavender. The scent of this is very strong, particularly when freshly picked, and tied round with a passiflora stem it looks great as a late summer display in the guest room.

Choose some slightly woody stems with some newish growth and cut to one to two inches.

Soak in water for one to two hours.
Dip in rooting powder.
Plant in pots with good drainage.

Water in well for several weeks.
Plant out after new growth is established. This usually takes a couple of months.
