It is quite restful to walk through a garden filled with flowers of only two or three colours.
Red and green are complimentary colours. You will learn this if you study art. It helps to know this when you want a nice colour combination in the garden; we have planted marigolds next to lupines. I am looking forward to taking their photograph in a month or two; the marigolds have survived right through the winter and are lovely and orange this week; we’ll have the complimentary colours blue and orange in the front drive soon.
I’ll be working on finding something yellow to plant with the pansy, which is lovely and purple at the moment.
